Berkeley, CA – September 22, 2025 – Azalea Robotics introduces the ARC 1, the world's first fully-mobile, safe, and autonomous baggage manipulator. Capable of manipulating outgoing, transfer, and local bags, it can load and unload bag carts and ULDs alike. This system maximizes flexibility for airport operations through easily slotting into wherever it's needed (makeup units, intake belts, etc) and just as easily moved elsewhere for common use areas.
Designed with safety in mind, the ARC 1 is a fully-certified cobot and needs no additional safety infrastructure. In rare cases when the system designates a bag it cannot manipulate, baggage handlers can safely work alongside with no operational delays.
